In my opinion, a present to a child leaching to the child’s development could be a computer. In this essay I will outline two reasons of selecting a computer as a gift. The first reason is that by computer a child could develop and improve a various types of skills while the child is entertaining himself or herself at the same time. Different games contribute to improvement of many skills. For example, it could be used to develop the concentration skills by playing games such as puzzles, jigsaws, and logic problems which requires a child to be patient if the child wants to be winner. Besides, different games lead a child to improve his or her memory, understanding of numbers, decision making as well as learn about patterns and symbols. The other reason is to get familiar with internet. Internet is useful in developing different aspects of a child’s life which is one of the inseparable parts of living in this technological world. Developing social knowledge could achieve by internet. For instance, a child could make lots of friends from other countries and know and learn about their cultures and languages. Another good aspect about internet is a child could find various types of media such as books, audios, and videos which may help the child in doing homework. Additionally, internet would provide much information about the world which could help a child to improve his or her general information and develop the memory. In short, I think that a computer not only could help a child to develop different skills useful in the future, but also could make an enjoyable time for the child.
