Personally I have never used this term. Moorche sounds right again. Before each class I psyche myself up. Build excitement.

I use this expression a lot. It can be a positive or negative expression. It means "to become overexcited about something or some one". For example, a university student studied very, very hard for an exam. She finally got her exam results. She got a very high score. Since she thought she did poorly but actually did well, she may "get worked up" and begin happily screaming "I passed! I passed" and jump up and down. This is an example of using the expression in a good, positive way. On the other hand, you have a person at work that you just don't like, but you must work together often. Today is one of those days. You haven't even seen this person, yet you are getting prepared for a bad day before it even happens. The "bad day" may not even happen at all. You're talking about how bad the person is, how the person will upset you, and so on. In this example, you are "getting all worked up" or "working yourself up into a lather (like soap!)" when there is no need to do so ... yet. You're getting upset ahead of time for no obvious reason. "Working oneself up" usually means getting upset before you have a reason to be upset.

It means..........to make oneself great excitement.
