"Stop screwing around." This phrase means the exact same thing as "Stop messing around" or "Stop playing around." It means act more serious, or focus more on what is important and not other things that don't matter. For example, a boss might tell his employees "Stop screwing around!" if they are all being lazy and not working. "Screw around" can basically mean anything non-important or non-focused. For example, if someone asked me what I did today I might answer "Oh I just screwed around." "Screw around with..." can mean two different things. The first is a negative meaning. If I say "Don't screw around with me," I am saying I want you to stop the stupid, annoying, or rude thing that you are doing. BUT there is another neutral meaning. If am using something (my camera for example) in an unfocused way I might just say "I'm screwing around with my camera." Hope that helps.

It matters in what way you're using it. It can either be "Stop screwing around with me!" (meaning stop joking around. Or in one of English's many slangs it can be said as "Are you screwing around with her?" (meaning sexual intercouse). Screw is also an object used to hold things together. And you can also use screw in the sense of "Wow I really screwed this job up!" (meaning you really did bad on the job) Hopefully this helped you, sorry for using so many words hehe

"Screwing around with" means to mess with or cause problems for. It is USUALLY said in a negative way. For example, if Person A told Person B "I love only you" but also said to Person C "I love only you" then Person A is screwing around with Person B and C. It is a negative phrase, and should also not be used in formal situations. It isn't very polite way to say it.
