confirmer = to confirm something
affirmer = to state something
reaffirmer = to say it again
Exemples:
Il a confirmé son rendez-vous.
Il a affirmé qu'il ne fume plus. Tout le monde était surpris !
Il a réaffirmé son opinon durant l'entrevue : " Le climat politique actuel ne change rien. Je n'ai pas changé d'idée."
