Hi Nanako, One main difference is that when someone does something successfully to make others believe in him or her, they are "persuasive", while something that readily causes others to believe that it is true or real is "convincing". Example: Ted gave a very persuasive speech using facts and figures, and at the end of his presentation, two thousand people signed up for his program. (Ted put in the effort to sway others' opinions and believe in him.) There was convincing evidence and the judge ruled in his favour. (The evidence was already very credible and believable.) I have been trying to think of a difference, but to be honest, I can't. I think they are pretty much interchangeable. He is very persuasive / He is very convincing. You make a persuasive argument / You make a convincing argument.
