Slang terms for describing a kind of alcohol
One friend bought some foreign beers, I had liked the taste till another friend told me "Your face turned so red!"(normally my face doesn't turn red while drinking). I complained this beer must be cheap and the friend bought it shouted out "It's not that cheap!" I asked a foreign friend from the country the beer is made in, he said "That's the cheapest beer here. People drink that when they don't have much money and want to get drunk."

Are there any slang terms for this kind of alcohol?

Oh this topic is my forte!! In Australia we have many slang terms for alcohol, although some of these words are not very nice and probably should be avoided in normal conversation. Some words that come to mind are 'piss', 'booze' and 'grog'. I am sure that I could think of others when I am drunk but unfortunately I am so very sober :P

+1 Josh for slang used for alcohol.  They generally refer to beer.

For wine, I usually will say "cheapo wine".

Some alcohol slang for weak drinks are "this is weak as piss", "cheap booze/grog" or "girl's drink".  Girl's drinks are the wine coolers and flavoured "sweeter" drinks which have a low % of alcohol like Breezers or Mud Shakes.

I cannot think of any common general terms for cheap alcohol/beer.  However, there are slang terms for some kinds of cheap alcohol that are very common (in colleges, etc.)

Some examples:

-Milwaukee's Best (Beer)  --> "Beast"
   -Natural Light (Beer) --> "Natty (Light)"
   -40 ounce Malt Liquor -->  "a 40"/"40s"

I've rarely heard the term "piss water" used for bad beer, but it's not common enough to be worth learning.

PS these may be Americanisms, I'm not sure these same drinks are common in the UK.

I guess the only thing I can think of is we might call it cheap and cheerful..you can use this not just to describe alcohol bnut any good that is cheap and basic
