Molly
Lately, I have been coping with social anxiety. I tried to discover the causes. Maybe, it's been a long time since I am a shy person. However, in a certain situations, I know that I am overthinking and scared of being judged. What do you think about a person I believe she is a good nature but always critisizes me and have nothing in common with me? I am appriciate her advice but I just stay away from her to protect my breakable mind.

However, in certain/some situations, I know that I am overthinking and scared of being judged. What do you think about a person I believe to be of good nature but who always criticizes me and have nothing in common with me? I am grateful for/ I appreciate her advice but I'd just stay away from her to protect my fragile mind.
Criticism in itself is not necessarily a bad thing but it has to remain constructive. I don't know the details of your situation but I'd just say that if that person keeps criticizing you without really bringing any added value, it’s better to keep your distances. It’s better to know how to protect yourself when you feel it’s necessary rather than forcing yourself to struggle with situations over which you have no control. Take care Molly.

Lately, I have been coping with anxiety in social situations. Why does this happen? Maybe it's because I've been shy for so long that I cannot escape it. Or, maybe I just overthink it, or fear being judged. As an example of someone who starts me thinking this way, there is a person who on the surface seems good natured, but is critical, having little in common with me. She makes me uncomfortable, but what am I to do? Though I appreciate some of her advice, I prefer to keep my distance to shelter my fragile ego. errors: "a long time since I am a shy person" "a certain situations" (mixing sigular and plural) "a person WHO I believe is good natureD" "HAS nothing in common" "I appreciate"
