Alexandra

I have been training my language skills with Alexandra for over a dozen, maybe more lessons, and she took every lesson as the first one with due attention, patience (yes!) and a smile. Amazing teacher, a great pleasure to work with!

Alexandra is a wonderful tutor! She has really helped me take my Finnish to the next level. She is patient and kind, which is really important because language learning can be a vulnerable feeling activity! We do reading lessons together and she always has great suggestions for texts that are just at the right level, not too easy and not too hard. She helps me stretch without making it too overwhelming. In addition, she is always timely and has a great attitude. I highly suggest working with Alexandra if you want to grow in your language learning!

Alexandra was super pleasant and professional. I loved the way she steers me to speak more and more Russian with each lesson. If there is something I do not know, she will tell me how to say it, I will repeat it, use it again in a sentence, and the interesting conversation continues. She compiles a list of all the words and expressions you use together and makes them available afterwards. On this one lesson she even provided a link for some different learning games for my Russian. She truly is the best and if you wanna see results, it's her I'd see.

Alexandra is a really good tutor, she adapts herself to the student's needs regardless of the level. She finds always engaging topics to discuss and she is ready to answer your questions at any moment. She is very skilled also for more advanced learners because she always comes prepared to the lessons with suitable activities (and this is something that I usually struggled with other tutors which were often improvising on the spot). I am looking forward to continuing my lessons with her! :)

Alexandra brings positivity and enthusiasm to each and every lesson, which makes it an absolute joy to learn Finnish with her. She's kind and patient, so it's easy to practice speaking without worrying about mistakes. She either has an answer, or finds one, for even the most random Finnish questions I have :)

Alexandra is a super supportive teacher, that is good at making speaking, listening and reading subjects friendly for elementary and intermediate learners of the Finnish language. I've been taking courses from her for about 1 year and I am extremely happy about my progression. Thanks to our speaking and book reading exercises, my vocabulary and ability to communicate in Finnish immensely improved. The best part is, it feels like I can suggest any book I am interested in, even in particularly complex topics, and we will be able to read it together and I will start learning the vocabulary and use of language subconsciously. She gives no homework unless you ask her to, and it is awesome to learn without feeling burdened by outside class hours work. I would recommend her to everyone that has been to classical grammar oriented courses in Finland and have failed to start communicating in Finnish due to lack of practice.
