Sheyha Hout

Lessons with Sheyha are very enjoyable as well as very informative. He has a fun personality and does a very good mix of a solid learning environment and fun. Very patient as well and easy to understand. I started as almost a complete beginner and he has taken my understanding of Khmer quite a ways from where I started.

As there are very few Khmer teachers on italki, I wasn’t sure I would be able to find someone who I would work well with. However, having my now 5th lesson with Sheyha, I am very impressed by how quickly I am getting better. It’s just like having fun conversation and I always enjoy my lesson.

We finished A2 today. What a milestone! Oor kun jrang! The class is always structured and well planned, and the study book is extremely useful.

Amazing session with Sheyha! I l learned so much in our trial lesson and thankfully have found a teacher / method to fully immerse myself in learning Khmer. I have tried mobile apps, youtube videos, and even books to learn Khmer, but this session with Seyha made me more confident than ever to learn quickly and proficiently. Looking forward to our future sessions together.

Today we had revision on the topic of work and occupation. We practiced a dialogue which was useful for reinforcement. I also learnt some new vocabulary and expressions along the way. Oor kun jrang!

We finished the second last chapter of A2 book today, and then had some free conversation. Oor-kun jrang!
