Lara

This was my last lesson with Lara before going to Spain. I do not know where to begin. Never did I think I would have so much confidence and knowledge in Spanish until now, and I am forever grateful to Lara for helping me achieve this. I recall in my first lessons that I kept telling Lara that I was so nervous and did not know hardly anything. Now, Lara and I are able to have full conversations in Spanish, and I feel so much better. Lara is the best teacher you could ever have, and that is not an exaggeration. Thank you so much, Lara! I truly appreciate you.

I have completed a number of classes with Lara and cannot recommend her lessons enough. Lara is a consummate professional. Her classes, for which she is extremely well-prepared, are structured, challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Lara's years of experience in language teaching are clearly evident and she deftly incorporates conversational practice into clearly explained lessons focused on grammar. Moreover, Lara is friendly, open and encouraging and these qualities make the learning process very enjoyable.

I started learning Spanish with Lara 6 months ago, in preparation for my daughter's wedding to a Spaniard. I was able to give the speech in Spanish (without notes) and converse with the Spanish in-laws. I will be 70 in October and never imagined I would make so much progress. Lara has been fantastic. Some days I have not felt motivated at the start of the lesson but she is so enthusiastic that I feel inspired by the end of the lesson.

Lara sometimes seems to be in a little hurry when I am hesident in learning new material. That could be because I am sometines slow in absorbing new conceps. This is in no way a problem. She is a great teacher.

Lara is fun to work with and amazingly patient.

He disfrutado mucho mi clase de español (castellano) con Lara, hoy. Hablamos de varias cosas diferentes incluido el irme de vacaciones en España a finales de octubre. También reímos mucho. Revisamos las diferencias entre el uso de los tiempos verbales: pluscuamperfecto de indicativo y pluscuamperfecto de subjuntivo. Creo que los entiendo mucho mejor que antes.
