Hello et bonjour! I started my journey on italki as a student a couple of years ago, as I wanted to improve my French to pursue an opportunity teaching English in France. I'm passionate about foreign languages, travel, and art. Though illustration was my field of study in college, it was still a huge priority for me to make time to study French outside of school. I am TEFL certified and am a 2023-2024 alumnus of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF). During my time with TAPIF, I worked alongside English professors in their classrooms and gained hands-on teaching experience. My priorities as a teacher are to cultivate an encouraging classroom environment, and to make learning as enjoyable as possible.

I want to help you build confidence and be able to reach your language goals, by adapting to your needs as a student. I also want you to enjoy the process of learning/improving your English, by incorporating your personal interests when possible—for example, learning through music you like, or articles related to your hobbies. I find it important to combine a variety of approaches in order to help keep you interested and motivated throughout the learning process.
