My Name is Reverend Father Shimshon Temmo, and I currently serve at St Mary's Parish in Athens and St George Mission Church in Thessaloniki.
I have served as a Deacon across multiple Churches in Sydney, learning and reading the Aramaic language. I was ordained into the Priesthood and served as a Priest at St Hurmizd Cathedral, St. Mary's Parish, St George’s, St. Peters and Paul’s Parish.
While performing and fulfilling my Priesthood duties in Sydney, I commenced Theological studies at Nisibis Theological College. After completing my service in Sydney, I travelled to Greece to serve the Assyrian community in St Mary's Parish, Athens and Thessaloniki.Ja jako nauczyciel
While serving as a priest in Sydney, I taught the Aramaic language to students embarking on becoming fluent readers.
Upon moving to Greece, I began teaching face-to-face clergy, choir, and general parishioners the language to read during liturgical services fluently. Moreover, I also introduced the Aramaic language to the local Greek people, both academic and non-academic.
My teaching expanded online, where I currently teach Aramaic to various academic and non-academic students. Likewise, I can assist those interested in Aramaic Scripture, hymns, songs, praises or general history.Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
Always having fun and keeping it simple is the most crucial aspect of learning.
I offer a threefold structure option in my teaching style.
1) Aramaic Language:
If you want to learn the Aramaic language, we will begin with an introduction and alphabet, followed by vowels, and then passage reading.
2) Biblical studies:
Or we can explore the Holy Bible together and discover the word of God in English or Aramaic. We can examine passages and discuss Biblical verses in the Old and New Testaments.
3) Spiritual guidance:
Or else, if you are going through a rough patch in life and would like guidance, we can discuss the best path for your life and get you back on track stronger than ever.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

Priesthood - Assyrian Church of the East - 2023In order to achieve the Priesthood Certificate within the Assyrian Church of the East, the candidate must be of good character abiding by the morals and standards of the Church. Additionally, must provide a broad knowledge of the Aramaic/Assyrian Language. Therefore, the individual must read, write in the Ancient language. Furthermore, the individual must be studying Theology or about the commence studies.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson. Reverend Shimshon Temmo is an amazing teacher, he is very experienced, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He made learning this ancient language very relatable and easy to grasp. I can’t believe I have read my first word in Aramaic already.

The Reverend’s classes are always such a wonderful experience. He is knowledgeable, calm, and supportive, just to name a few qualities of several that come to mind. The materials that he uses are clear and helpful and he adjusts the pacing of classes to what I am able to absorb and remember. I am looking forward to reviewing/reinforcing what I once knew and then building upon it.
