Hi! I’m Charles Bishop, also known as Colton, from the USA. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Carolina University and a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL/TESL certification from Oxford Seminars. I taught business English in Bogotá, Colombia, for two years before becoming a freelance teacher. After living in Spanish-speaking countries for over two years, I now offer beginner Spanish classes alongside English. I believe that students should learn through engaging, hands-on, communicative lessons. Research shows that experiential learning helps students retain knowledge for longer periods of time and express that knowledge more fluently. This helps them to move beyond their procedural understanding of the content to develop a conceptual understanding as well. I also firmly believe that in today’s society it is imperative that students develop a greater global awareness through their classroom instruction. For two years, I taught at BBE Languages (Beyond Business English)in Bogotá, Colombia, working with companies like Google and Decathlon. I've been taking lessons with Colton for a few months now. He is an extremely enthusiastic teacher who loves his job. He has a variety of different pre planned lessons you can do but you can also just talk about whatever you currently find interesting. At the end of each lesson he gives you a summary of the mistakes you did during class and helps you to correct them.

Colton is a very good teacher, he is friendly, optimistic and dynamic. He teaches me a lot of grammar using very good materials on which we can work togheter when we talk and also I can do it by myself after that.

I really liked the class because it was very dynamic and interactive. I was able to listen, analyze, exchange ideas, and write sentences, the teacher helped me with my pronunciation and correct my written sentences, give a homework assignment so I can learn more. I'm really happy
