I'm a native English speaker from Vancouver, Canada. I currently live in Tokyo, Japan, but I've also spent a few years in Melbourne, Australia (feel free to talk to me about Canada, Japan, and/or Australia)! I'm a huge geek--I love anything considered geeky, whether it's Lord of the Rings or anime. I'm always excited to meet other people who are... similarly enthusiastic about nerdy things!

I have more than three years of experience tutoring English. I mostly specialize in conversational lessons and making sure you enjoy yourself while learning English. I also have experience in preparing for tests such as the IELTS, TOEIC, and Eiken. I'm also studying Japanese. I have been particularly curious about what what makes a "natural Japanese voice." As such, I've also come to understand what native English speakers do instinctively that produces a "natural English voice." If you're curious about making your voice sound as natural as possible, please ask me questions about this!

Feel free to have a free conversation with me or you can even bring your own articles or writing to lessons for us to go over. I also have access to my own articles we can go over together and discuss if you don't have any and don't feel ready for a free conversation. During lessons, I will write down corrections and recommend more natural phrases and expressions in the chatbox. These will look like the following: 1. "Mistake" -> Correction 2. *Recommended sentence/expression. 3. Vocabulary (noun/verb/adjective) - definition E.g., "example sentence using the vocabulary." I hope to see you soon!
