Tinatin Bakhtadze

We worked through a couple conversations. First, we discussed marriage and the associated vocabulary. Second, we discussed my upcoming trip and more vocabulary. These discussions led to some grammar and word-formation rules, which helped me understand better some vocabulary I had already learned.

Tinatin and I chatted spontaneously about my recent trip and about the Georgian diaspora in the US. Then we moved to a text describing people, studies, and professions. She ensured that there were a lot of handy phrases in the text that could be used in many contexts.

Today was a great day! A conversation about the holidays, traveling, fishing--all Georgian! I feel progress today, which was great. Part of what made it good was preparing ahead of time with a text that Tinatin gave me, which included questions to answer in Georgian. That immersive approach helps me a lot.

Today we worked through a text that had a lot of similar vocabulary configured in different ways. It was a great way to work through and practice vocabulary because once you encountered a new word, you would see it in slightly different contexts a couple more times.
