Hello everyone!
My name is Gabriel, I am Brazilian, I speak Portuguese (C2), French (C2), English (C1), Spanish (C1), German (C1), Japanese, Italian and a little of Russian! I've lived for 5 years in France, where I studied in the High School and University in Caen, Normandy! I lived and studied in Würzburg, Germany, where I studied Law in French, Spanish and German, and also Political Sciences in German. I've studied 1 year language teaching in France. Then I changed my field of studies. I am graduated in Foreign Applied Languages, currently studying East Asia Economy and Society in Vienna, Austria. I have been a language teacher for 2 and half years now. I have mostly worked as a private teacher but also:
- Online private French teacher A1 - B2
- Language tutor for exchange students in Caen (France) for 3 years
- French tutor at the University of Würzburg (Germany)
- French teacher for intensive course in "Mr English Language Center" in Brazil
- Currently also teaching French in Vienna
- Experience teaching children (5 -13 years old) online!
- Private Portuguese teacher in France
- Speech about "language learning and interculturalism" at the Forum Mondial Nomandie pour la Paix (world forum Normandy for peace) on June 6th 2019

My approach is based on the strategies I used to learn more than 10 different languages. With time, I forged my methods by acquiring knowledge and experience by teaching people from different countries and by exchanging with my teachers and other polyglots I met. I use a very visual and auditive method (to be as dynamic and interactive as possible), which gives you a complete immersion in the language. I also focus on the culture, as I see it as an important component to understand the way people express themselves in French or Portuguese. So happy to have found Gabriel. He's so easy to talk to, even when my beginner brain can barely string a sentence together. Very patient and calm, and always helps me find the word I need. He's also very good at breaking down the tricky french pronunciation into syllables that are more manageable. Thank you!

Gabriel was very patient and helpful. I hadn't spoken French in a long time but he made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to speak more. His method adapts to the learner's needs, gives constructive feedback, and he has a friendly approach to language learning.

Gabriel is an excellent teacher. I feel I’ve made a lot of progress since starting! His lessons are always carefully planned and he takes time to explain when I make grammatical errors- I’ve already recommended him to friends!

So far, I had about 150 lessons with more than 30 teachers on Italki and I can confidently say that Gabriel is by far one of the best teachers on the platform! He is super organized very friendly and a great communicator. I really enjoy my lessons him. During the lesson, Gabriel picks up new vocabulary, pronunciation/ grammar mistakes and writes them in an organized online shared file. Then we review these points at the end of the session. This makes it very easy to study the new material. So basically no need to take any notes during the class, just enjoy! Highly recommended!
