Hi! I’m Andriana.
I’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in Greek Philology: the study of the Greek language through ancient, medieval and modern texts, as well as from a linguistic perspective.
I love the way language work on so many levels with communication and one my hobbies is language learning. I speak Greek, English and Spanish. I’m currently studying Korean.
Looking for ways to experience language exchange and cultural interactions, I always wish to spend time in different countries. So far visited Austria and Czech Republic. Only last year I was in The Netherlands, where studied for my Master’s degree in Media Studies.

Studying Philology in the University of Athens gave me a well-rounded aspect towards teaching. It’s not just about setting specific goals and achieving them. For me, learning involves a deep, inner procedure both for the teacher and the student. In fact, it involves recognizing the student’s own strengths and their specific way of building knowledge, rather than simple memorizing or repeating things.
So I like to function as a teammate and a friend, guiding the student to construct blocks of knowledge through active engagement with the language.

Both for modern and ancient Greek, are on interactivity: the method I use is participatory learning. My role as a teacher is to guide the student to the generation of learning, through a series of engaging activities, appropriate for each level (focus on the alphabet and correct pronunciation for beginners, mastering grammar for intermediate students and conversation to boost the confidence of advanced students).
I aspire to communicate my passion for language learning to my students and I’m always curious about what the students’ passions are. Thus, I encourage them to share their interests so that we can build our classes in a fun and unique way together!Moje materiały dydaktyczne

Andriana is a great teacher if you're looking for some conversation practice in Greek. She has a great grasp on a number of real-life resources available (films, books, TV programmes, etc.) and on present-day Greek culture.
