Wahid

Wahid is a very friendly and patient teacher who is really good at identifying any weak points in your language learning journey and devising homework to help you to improve.

I had a great first class, and Wahid gave me a lot of input. We had a very good conversation. He was well-prepared and tailored the presentation to my level, which made the pace just right for me. He focused on my spelling and mistakes, correcting me patiently and providing helpful exercises. I'm glad to have more lessons with him, and I'm confident that my Pashto will improve significantly soon

Wahid is a funny guy. He knows English pretty decently since he studied English literature, and he is indeed very helpful and willing to help students beyond what is required of him. During the lesson I noted he has a very strong Dari accent (e.g pronounces بزرگ as "buzurg" rather than in Iranian "bozorg"), which I absolutely love and I wish to emulate his accent for this reason. Waheed's teaching style is presentations. Unfortunately this means there is not a lot of speaking, but I honestly just want to focus on pronunciation and input first, so for my purposes the presentation was actually quite suitable and interesting. My only big criticism is his internet connection: during the lesson his WiFi often disconnected which made me unable to see or hear him. This is not his fault (he himself said the situation of WiFi in Afghanistan is not great), but an issue nonetheless. It will be interesting to see how we work around this in coming lessons.

Wahid is an outstanding teacher! He explains complex topics clearly and ensures everyone understands. He is Always patient, friendly, and approachable, and creates a positive and supportive learning environment. His enthusiasm and dedication inspire students to do their best. Highly recommended!
