Hello :) My name is Monika, I'm Polish and I live in Warsaw. I did my M.A. degree in English Philology at the Jagiellonian University and I spent a year in Scotland during my studies. I speak British English and since I came back from Glasgow I have had a thing for Scottish accent. I like reading, doing yoga and travelling. I have around five years' experience in teaching English, not only general but also medical, administrative, legal and business language. I have a good record of preparing students for job interviews as well. At the university I specialised in teaching English and UK culture. I teach adults. My lessons are mainly conversational but I am open to adjusting if you need help with your grammar, translation, vocabulary or pronunciation. As part of my method I provide feedback right after each lesson which is a list of phrases and forms that might be useful to remember, based on the lesson we just had. My main objective is to keep lessons fun. It is much easier to talk about something that's our cup of tea and inspires us :)
We only need to know 20% of vocabulary in a language to understand 80% of what we read. I believe the same is true for speaking. Learning is not about trying to know all the words at once but rather becoming confident in making the best use of the ones we already know and gradually widening our resources.Moje materiały dydaktyczne
