I'm 32 years old and I'm half French and half German. I'm a native speaker of both languages, grew up in both countries, and have dual citizenship.
My interest in American culture motivated me to start learning English by myself when I was a teenager. After a few years I reached a native speaker level and acquired a nearly perfect accent by having frequent conversations and constantly watching content in English.
Since then, language learning has become my main passion in life. My success with English motivated me to do the same with Japanese, Korean and Mandarin Chinese. After having lived in Japan and Korea for several years, I reached an advanced level in both languages.Ja jako nauczyciel
What my students consistently appreciate about me is that I'm a great conversationalist and listener, but also my international background (especially for English speaking and Asian students), my extensive teaching and learning experience (fluent in 5 languages) and my ability to make my students feel confident and engaged during my lessons, no matter if they are absolute beginners or have an advanced level.
Moreover, I have completed two teaching certifications: the CELTA and the DAEFLE. They taught me a lot about teaching techniques and how to plan and teach formal lessons while giving me many practical skills that I apply every day in my lessons.Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
Be it in the context of informal or textbook based lessons, having meaningful conversations (or simple interactions as a beginner) and listening/reading in the language as much as possible, like a child learning its native language, is a guarantee to success. This is the reason why my lessons and teaching style are based on this principle.
As your teacher I will guide you, motivate and encourage you to keep learning, and help you as much as I can in the learning process by making it as fun and engaging as possible.

I have been having classes with Lucas for a year now and I have to say that he is an excellent teacher. He is fluent in a number of languages including French, German and English. Très bonne séance, comme toujours. On a discuté des langues, iTalki, et les différences entre les états des États-Unis. C'était une conversation formidable et très intéressant. Lucas connaît beaucoup à propos de n'importe quel sujet et, donc, c'est facile de discuter ce que ses étudiants aiment. À la prochaine!

Lucas is a great teacher.
He has a wealth of knowledge he can share, is helpful and polite. He adapts his way of speaking and pronunciation to my current oral comprehension level.
In my opinion his accent is worth acquiring, that is why I chose him in the first place. I am very content to have him as my teacher, because my active vocabulary increases with every session and my German accent atrophies steadily. Furthermore he keeps the conversation flowing and it is fun talking to him. I can recommend Lucas as a teacher to everyone who wants to improve, enhance and refine their French skills.

日本語がとても上手で、話の途中に日本語を混ぜるとすぐにドイツ語に変換して文字にもしてくれるので、とても勉強になります。

Das Klassenklima bei Lucas ist immer super. In seinem Unterricht kann ich mit Spaß und Begeisterung lernen. Lucas ist geduldig und humorvoll. Er hat interkulturelle Kompetenz und versteht auch die Lernschwierigkeiten der Anfänger gut. Im Jahr 2024 hat Lucas mir sowohl beim Lernen und als auch bei meiner Arbeit viel geholfen.
