I’m a Certified ELE teacher, Master's Degree from University of Granada(Spain)with over 15 years of experience, a DELE Examiner by the Cervantes Institute. Currently I teach online & at a university in Colombia. Spanish from Latin America & Spain. All levels. Lawyers, Medical Professionals, DELE, Business, SIELE, Pronunciation, LISTENING, conversation, CULTURE.
I was born in Colombia but I have lived many years in Europe, United States and South America. I’m also a citizen of Spain. My best experiences abroad involved meeting great people, finding interesting places and seeing the cultural mix in the world. My lessons involve the crucial areas of language learning: speaking, listening, writing, reading, and modern and useful vocabulary. I like to share insights on cultures of different parts of the Spanish-speaking world, in reference to Latin America and Spain.
I offer Spanish from Latin America and Spain in structured grammar lessons using professional and interesting materials. Conversational practices build confidence and fluency. Spanish for medical personnel, lawyers and business people is highlighted.
Conversation-based lessons start using a topic, an article, or a video to respond to. We can include related grammar, vocabulary and specific language skills.

Elena was knowledgeable and engaged. She spoke more slowly to facilitate my understanding, and was patient as I searched for words and corrected myself. I got lots of speaking practice as well as lots of listening and some needed grammar challenges!

Elena is a great teacher! You can tell from the first lesson how her education, knowledge and experience have shaped her teaching and I’m already feeling more comfortable speaking with clients after the first lesson. She lets me bring my own Spanish material for us to go over things. Highly recommend!
