Jane kids&adults

Due to the unexpected school closures with Covid-19, my children have been learning Chinese with Jane everyday. I can see their improvement and progression. They have been engaged and happy learning with Jane.

Jane is a great teacher, I tried to study Chinese on my own for a while but with my busy life it was hard to do. Jane helps me stay focused and learn far more than I would have on my own.

I enjoy every lesson with Jane. Each class she is excited to listen to discussion topics and updates I have on my life. Her interest and feedback during these discussions is highly motivating to me as a language learner.

Jane is an exceptionally good teacher. Today I had my 9th lesson with her. I tried a number of other professional teachers here on italki, too. These are my thoughts about Jane: professional: - no interruptions (phone calls, doorbell, noise) - uses proper laptop (instead of mobile phone) and good headphones - has good internet connection - has all the resources at hand good teacher: - keeps track of past lessons (so she can easily refer new introduced grammar from earlier lessons) - knows how to adapt to student's very special requirements (for example, she understands that I need her to help me to make flashcards with "weird" word-for-word translations - she's not only able to cope with my requirement easily, she even likes the challenge of it!) - and what I like most: the lessons with Jane are fun and very efficient (we get a lot of stuff done in a short time) I don't write such a review light-heartedly, but I can highly recommend Jane to everybody.

I feel privileged to have been working with Jane for nearly two years. During this time, my confidence in using Mandarin for both reading and communication has improved tremendously. Jane is very patient, engaging, and makes even difficult topics easy to understand. She is dedicated and punctual, and she does an excellent job not only utilizing the vocabulary I already know but also remembering and reinforcing it. Her classes always feel focused on my development, and I genuinely feel that she cares about every student. One aspect I particularly enjoy is being able to share events from my own life and then learning how to express them in Mandarin. This approach helps me connect with the language on a personal level while keeping the learning process fun and relevant. I am deeply grateful for Jane’s guidance and support over these two years, and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated teacher.
