My name is Gbenga Paul. My first name means "Lifted". I live in Lagos, Nigeria and i'm passionate about helping people get better.
I'm quite inquisitive so I try to learn something new everyday and I believe I can learn from everybody and anybody. I detest dishonesty.
Making friends and meeting new people gives me great joy. I like to keep fit and I love sports a lot.
I like hiking, camping, gardening, travelling, painting, reading, and teaching.

I believe anyone can achieve whatever they set their mind to because a situation is as difficult as you make it and when you believe you can do something, your goal is half achieved. I love to help people on their journey to their goal and that's how I became interested in teaching without even realizing it.
I started teaching (online and offline) long before i joined italki. I excel in teaching languages and a lot other stuffs.

Gbenga is just amazing!! I have recommended him to all my friends in the states who are trying to teach their children Yoruba. I usually sleep in on weekends but I am up bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready for classes with such eagerness because of how wonderful he is. I grew up in Lagos but never got the chance to learn Yoruba due to attending international boarding schools. Gbenga knows how to meet you where your needs are and learning with him is so easy and enjoyable. Our lessons are the best part of my week. My daughter has never been exposed to the language and even she loves her Yoruba classes.
