Yuri Tezuka

I love my lessons with Yuri-san. She's really good at explaining Japanese grammar, even when it's super confusing. You can tell she works hard to find the best way to make things clear. Yuri-san is an incredible teacher, no doubt about it. And the best part today? The chit chat we have! Today, we talked about typhoons. It's awesome to share stories and discover new things about each other's cultures. Our lessons are always a good time! Thank you Yuri-san!

Yuri-san is a great teacher. I enjoy her lessons very much and I feel that we have a good rapport and can talk about anything. Yuri-san is also understanding when I make mistakes and helps me to build my confidence in learning and speaking Japanese. I have been studying with Yuri Sensei for about nine months now, and my lessons with her have been amazing. When we began, we worked together to determine the best starting point based on my pre-existing knowledge. I was initially worried that this would be challenging, but the transition from my previous language classes to working with Yuri Sensei was as smooth as it could be. Since then, we have been using the Minna no Nihongo book series. Every lesson is very well-structured, and I am regularly surprised by how much effort Yuri Sensei puts into each session. She carefully prepares and outlines each lesson in a shared document. During our lessons, we work through topics, grammar explanations, and exercises together. After each lesson, she provides meaningful homework, which she carefully checks and discusses with me in the following session. It’s clear that she invests far more than just the scheduled class time into her teaching. I highly recommend Yuri Sense to any learner!

I always enjoy my lessons with Yuri-san, she can be quite flexible with the class. For example, today she allowed me to talk a lot, thus doing a lot of conversation practice, rather than learning new grammar. I appreciated this a lot as I need a lot of practice before my upcoming trip. いつも、どうもありがとうございます！
