Hi! I'm a guy passionate about traveling, people, traditions, and cultures. That led me to visit many countries, and to live in some of them like: Argentina, Spain, United Kingdom, Canada or France, and also to learn English, French, Italian, and a bit of Brazilian Portuguese.
I studied film and photography, then a master in documentary filmmaking, but art and literature is always appealing to me.
Being born in Colombia, and raised in Spain give me a lot of advantages. Good news: I can share them. I can teach the variants of Spanish from America and Europa, but always focus on an elegant standard Spanish.

I started volunteering at a social center for migrant population. There I realized that I loved teaching Spanish, because in addition to sharing my culture, I was also learning from my students.
I have been teaching private lessons on a regular basis since 2020, and it is something I enjoy more and more every day. I want to keep improving as a Spanish teacher and keep learning from my students.Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
First, it's never too late to learn a language, no matter your age. Second, you can learn while having fun.
My classes have a communicative approach, that is: speaking, reading, writing and listening using real life situations. In addition, I apply a progressive method of language contact: we will begin by speaking and understanding and then, little by little, we will introduce the grammar.
Each class will put your Spanish skills into practice, and you will gain confidence in expressing yourself.

This was my first class on italki. Miguel spoke clearly in both english and spanish. He explained his class format and encouraged discussion. I enjoyed our class and with take future classes with him. I am a beginner learner, A1-2.

I had my first lesson of conversation practise with Miguel, he was very well prepared with materials, questions, articles to read to check my level and gave me pronunciation tips. We talked in a very relaxed, friendly way. He was very pleasant and encouraging to talk to, indeed. Gracias y nos vemos.

Miguel has been wonderful! My husband and I wanted to learn some basic Spanish and get some travel tips before visiting Spain. Miguel was very friendly, funny and helpful.
