Olá! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your Portuguese teacher. My name is Thais, and I bring a unique blend of passion, education, and cultural appreciation to our language learning journey.
My journey into the world of language education took me to Arizona State University (ASU), where I delved into the art and science of teaching languages. It was at ASU where I earned my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate, equipping me with the necessary skills to effectively teach and communicate with learners from diverse backgrounds.
Beyond the confines of academia, my love for Portuguese extends to its vibrant culture, literature, and people.

Through the conversational approach, my lessons emphasize teaching you the essentials for everyday use of the Portuguese language. While maintaining a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, the primary focus of the classes will be teaching you the essential skill of syntax. As a teacher, I take great pride in creating my own teaching materials that are tailored towards visual learning. A visually appealing design can greatly enhance the learning experience and help students retain information better. She's super welcoming and knowledgeable, and I always feel happy asking questions or trying things even if I might make a mistake, as I know she'll be kind and help me understand how to get it right next time. :) Also very flexible to adapt the lessons to my needs! Super recommend!

I can highly recommend Thais. I've only had 3 lessons so far, but I've learned a lot in that time. Her lessons are very structured, clear and methodical. I look forward to further lessons.
