I've been studying with Aya-sensei every week for over half a year now. I'm continually impressed with Aya-sensei's ability to always challenge me without making it too difficult or too easy. Progress is steady and I can sincerely recommend Aya-sensei to anyone who wishes to improve their Japanese.

I had my first Japanese lesson with Ayo this morning and it was a fantastic experience. She came well-prepared, was very encouraging and has an excellent teaching style that made me feel at ease. I really appreciated how she gave me time to think, try, and even fail gracefully — which helped build my confidence further. She also followed up with helpful suggestions for how to progress. Overall, a great start and I’m already looking forward to the next lesson!

First official lesson with Aya sensei. Aya sensei is a Cambridge CELTA-qualified teacher who is very good at engaging students using well-graded questions. Her approach is highly student-centred, allowing me plenty of opportunities to practise listening and speaking.

Second lesson with Aya-sensei was excellent. We began a review of "homework" that included very helpful advice and corrections, then kept focus on reading and speaking as planned. Aya kept the lesson clear and focused, with just the right level of challenge. I'm slowly gaining confidence and feeling much more motivated than I did with my self-study previously. あや先生、ありがとうございました！レッスンはとてもすばらしです。
