Hi everyone! :)
My name is Marisa, I come from Lisbon, and I am very excited to teach you my native language. I have studied Linguistics (bachelor's and master's); My studies inspired me to learn new languages, and to open up this avenue of discovery.
I love nature, most especially hiking, long walks into the woods and visiting deserted beaches. In the evenings, I like going to live concerts, jazzy vibes are always my go to.Ja jako nauczyciel
I started my experience as a Portuguese language teacher in Spain, I taught there for over 3 years. I find it amazing to track the student's progress, and see how they would feel more comfortable with the language as we invested in this journey.
Communication is key. It's important that you feel engaged in the classes by speaking and practicing the language in contexts that would sound more natural to you.Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
I like to focus on conversation skills. To help you improve it, I use videos, audios, articles, and games with interesting topics which will motivate you to speak. The grammar explanations, new vocabulary, and exercises would be integrated into the topics discussed.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

Me gusta que me deje intentar hablar en portugués, aunque sea más portuñol, pero siento que voy intentando hacer el acento y voy aprendiendo palabras así como reconociendo las que se parecen a las del español. Igual casi todo ella me lo dice en portugués y yo pregunto las palabras que no entiendo. Eso también me gusta, porque me permite familiarizarme con el idioma.

What a lovely teacher! Marisa is patient and encouraging and asked questions to get me talking more. She prepared for the lesson by creating some interesting topics and vocabulary to talk about. It was fun interacting with her, and it felt great to be speaking in Portuguese about engaging subjects.
