I began my teaching journey with English lessons for children, and over the years, I’ve worked with kids, teenagers, and adults from diverse linguistic backgrounds. With over 8 years of experience, I’m a Certified TEFL Teacher and have also volunteered as an English instructor. My teaching is enriched by my Brazilian roots and life in Germany, bringing a unique cultural perspective to the classroom. I specialize in teaching English and also offer lessons in Portuguese, French, and Spanish. My goal is to create an interactive and supportive environment tailored to each student’s needs. Inspired by the support I received from the Italki community, I aim to help always.

My teaching approach is centered around the four key pillars of language learning: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. In each lesson, I seek to do different activities designed to engage all these skills. Ideally, we would start with a PowerPoint presentation tailored to your level, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and expressions. Then, we would watch a short video in Portuguese to reinforce what you've learned in a real-world context. Finally, we would wrap up the lesson with interactive exercises to solidify your understanding and boost your confidence. I can also offer Homework and Flashcards.

Dora is a fantastic tutor especially for total beginners like myself. She is very informative about not only about Spanish but the accents, culture and learning a second language. She is very positive, patient, enthusiastic and helps with correcting my pronunciation. Cannot wait to continue learning Spanish. Highly recommend Dora. 🌟

She is very educated and has a plan, which I always seem to lack, haha. The only issues was with iTalki classroom, so we used another platform. I am hoping to continue lessons with her as a supplement to my learning!
