Hi everyone! My name is Linda and I was born and raised in Germany. I enjoy travelling, learning languages and trying new food. I have a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and a master's in Data Science and love learning new things. You can talk with me about any topic and I will find it interesting. I started off as a student on iTalki, learning Chinese, Dutch and Italian. Over the years of studying different languages in different ways I realised that talking is truly the best way to learn a language and gain confidence. This can be especially difficult in the start and most people are reluctant to speak in public. That's why I centre my lessons around communication and interactive learning. As already mentioned, I belive that speaking is the key to learning a language. That's why we will be speaking german from the start during lessons! This will help you feel more comfortable speaking german and you will also understand native speakers more easily. Since every language learner has unique goals and needs, I'll tailor the lessons based on our initial discussions. It was the trial lesson. I had studied German but back in the mid to late 60s, so we were just trying to start me off digging in the ancient fog of memory. She was fantastic at dealing with my questions and putting words in the chat. I spoke a bit but it's so frustrating. I felt we learned quite a bit in the 30 minutes , and I will definitely book more lessons, when I have got over the shock of starting learning again...
