If you are good with grammar but have trouble speaking and using it in conversation, Soo Young will be an effective teacher. Her methods force you to think in Korean and use the grammar being taught. You are forced to associate the grammar patterns with personal experiences and opinions. Because of this association, I think speaking and using the new grammar will come to mind on the spot more easily when you are conversing with Korean people. I feel like over time she will be able to help me achieve my goals.

Initially, I had trouble making compound and complex sentences, but all my worries faded away when I attended Miss Kim’s class. My learning experience with her has improved my grammar and vocabulary significantly and made me more enthusiastic and confident to practice Korean in speech and writing. She sets her expectations clearly and cares deeply about her student's progress. Moreover, she has an inspiring and amiable personality and is easy to connect with.  I appreciate all her efforts and will keep on attending her class  : )

I enjoyed the demo class before, and my first full length class didn't disappoint me at all. I really enjoy the level of preparation that Soo Young showed, and how in-depth she was when answering my many questions. It was a very focused lesson, and the balance of time I spent listening and the time I spent talking/expressing myself was great. I felt comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, and I think some of my foundational knowledge of Korean was really strengthened. And I'm glad for the writing homework and reading/listening that I have to work with and practice before the next lesson, too. I'm really glad I found this teacher!

I love my lessons with 수영쌤! She is great at explaining grammar points and vocabulary. I appreciate that she builds in a lot of time to practice using the grammar and vocabulary from the lesson rather than quickly moving from one activity to the next without allowing for you to digest the new information. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her Korean curriculum lessons to anyone looking to learn or review grammar in a fun and non-stressful way.

선생님 김 uses methodologies that work. She is very patient. The teaching is focused and this one-on-one format allows for real learning to take place! I am learning so much!

I think this was the best demo lesson I've ever had. 수영선생님 started with an introduction and checked my level which was great, and she has a detailed plan with clear reasoning behind every step. I also appreciate that the materials and explanations are all in Korean, so the learning feels immersive. I'm looking forward to my next class.
