I am Phil, a CELTA-qualified English teacher. I speak both French and English at a native level. Lately, I have been focusing on learning Italian. I see it both as a duty and a pleasure since half of my family is Italian. I tend to think I have the heart of a passionate linguist but also the mind of a scientist. Indeed, I learn languages like I would tackle a math problem. I love grammar and concentrate more on patterns than words when learning new vocabulary items. I enjoy a lot of creative activities such as writing, drawing, blogging (in French and in English), making videos… I am very much into sports & have a degree in software development.Ja jako nauczyciel
As a teacher, I am very committed to the success of my students. I am very much the same as in my daily life: understanding, friendly, patient and, most of all, supportive. The role of a teacher these days is most of all to support the student. Most of the time, learning a language is difficult because the methodology is not right. Every student is different and I want you to be sure that you will not be treated like every other student. If there is one certainty which you should have with me, here it is: never fear to make a mistake in my presence. Making a mistake is a good sign. My lessons and teaching style will depend on you and your personal preferences. Depending on how advanced you are on your learning path and your personal goals, you may need more or less help. Since I believe more in casual conversations than formal lessons, I have chosen to be a tutor instead of a teacher. I really need to emphasize that I see myself more as a guide. There is a lot of content out there which you can access for free. I will be there to tell you of what to read or watch. However, most of the work has to be done by you. I alone cannot teach you a language but, together, we can make a lot of progress extremely fast.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

Phil is an excellent teacher who always gives you good suggestions about how to speak correctly. He pays attention to detail and really helps you choose a strong vocabulary so that you speak like a native speaker. I truly appreciate his attention to nuances!
