Hi!
I'm a friendly and easy-going guy who enjoys the simple things in life, from a nice pub meal with friends, to an evening at the theatre or a night-in watching good TV.
I have an amazing relationship with my family (I'm the youngest of six!), and a great circle of friends, with whom I share passions, laughs and good food!
I play the piano and sing in a London choir.
Languages spoken: English and Italian, plus decent Spanish and French.
Favourite music: classical/opera, rock & pop.
Favourite time of the year: Christmas!

I am a positive, friendly and bubbly person, who really enjoys languages and correct grammar. But most of all, one who enjoys making English fun to learn. The first thing learners will notice about me is my rapport with the students; I believe it is the most important ingredient in making a lesson successful and the learner feel at ease. During my lessons, I make sure that the student's progress and understanding are my priority. I use visual and audio materials, and I always prompt a discussion to encourage the student to participate and enjoy the topic.
I focus a lot on practice, particularly repetition and pronunciation.

I begin with a quick, casual conversation with simple questions and answers (weather, or weekend activities). My lesson plans are normally centred on skills and a specific focus: speaking/writing, for example, with vocabulary/grammar etc. I aim to keep my speaking time to a minimum, and encourage students to speak as much as possible. I am happy using course-book material as well as authentic sources, suitably graded to the students' level.
I always present a variety of sources to keep lessons dynamic: audio files, texts, comprehension questionnaires (True/False, gap-fill). I end my lessons with language feedback, encouraging self-correction.

The experience is certainly helping me to make it my professional career, as I interact with students from different backgrounds, from business to academic and pleasure. Senior Trade ManagerAlthough not directly linked to teaching, I believe this experience is quite important because I did what most teachers do: training, presentations, public speaking, liaising with international partners from different parts of the world (grading the language is essential). I travelled extensively to Asia, mainland Europe and North America.
My experience is beneficial to understanding how to best approach non-native English speakers, conduct a conversation successfully and making yourself clear.
