My youngest student was 5 and my oldest 76, so I'm used to work with people of any age! Als ich Italki entdeckte, spezialisierte ich mich auf Zürcherdeutsch und helfe seither Einwanderern bei ihrer Integration in der Schweiz. Das Level variiert dabei von Beginnern bis hinzu Fortgeschrittenen. Aus Mangel an guten Unterrichtsmaterialien habe ich im Verlauf der Jahre meinen eigenen Kurs mit einer Vielzahl verschiedener Übungstypen zusammengestellt. Ich biete auch weiterhin Unterricht in Hochdeutsch an und kann eventuell auch bei weiteren Schweizer Dialekten weiterhelfen.

I can offer your two types of courses: Professional Courses from level A1 upto level C2 - In this module, I shall work with beginners and advanced learners. We will work using a textbook, focus on all 4 aspects of language learning i.e. speaking, listening, reading and writing and we shall focus on preparation for international exams like Goethe, DELE etc. Conversation Courses - In this module we shall work on your conversation skills, which shall encompass different topics of varying complexity. We shall focus on improving your conversational skills. Being a polyglot, I will be to teach German to you using Spanish/ English or alternatively teach Spanish to you using German/ English.

Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.
