Ten years of teaching on Italki, 17 years of teaching at school. More than 250 happy students here. Hello everybody. My name is Ivana. I am from Serbia. I know it might be "not so much attractive" to hear that someone is from Serbia or another Balkan country but the best thing about this is that I can teach you serbian, croatian, bosnian, montenegrian:-). I would say these languages are all the same with small regional differences and it is a kind of political issue that we all call it differently. I know that many people prefer native speakers, but it can sometimes be tricky. The native speakers are good teachers only if they are foreign langauge teachers, believe me. I also teach latin and italian so I think I could be a good choice for you:-)

I like to put at the service of my students my language skills to help them in learning Italian and in achieving their goals. I am patient and I have listening skills, a characteristic that allows me to meet the needs of all and to study learning programs adapted to the objectives of each person. Since my first year at University, I've tutored students in Italian, English and Spanish. I have been working on Italki since 2020 and I had the chance to meet many students and to enrich my didactic methods. I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned.
