Because of these experiences, I assumed that teaching Korean would be easy for me. However, the reality was different from my imagination. Since I had never been a beginner in the Korean language, it was very hard for me to relate to the students. In the beginning, I had a hard time understanding how non-Koreans process Korean in their brain as a language. So, I had to put a lot of effort to see Korean sentences from the student’s perspective. I was in US for a year and some of my friends really wanted to learn korean. So I taught them korean whatever it's small or big whenever we hung out. Also, when I was in a lab, my lab-mates were usually from South-East Asia. Since they have to talk in korean when communicating, I always helped them. They usually took a grammar class, but learning a grammar and communicating is totally different as you know. I want to level up your speaking skills!
