Here's another Scroll-down Quiz for you all! Do you know what these English idioms mean? 1.) The last straw 2.) Hold a grudge 3.) Not my cup of tea Scroll down to see the literal meanings! 1.) The last in a series of bad things that makes someone very upset, angry etc. (E.g. It had been a difficult week for James. So once his car broke down, it was the last straw for him) 2.) To feel anger or resentment towards someone because of something they did to you or how they treated you in the past. (E.g. Three years ago I forgot my best friend's birthday, and they have held a grudge against me ever since.) 3.) Something that you do not like, are not interested in, or is not your style. (E.g. My friends wanted me to go with them to a Techno concert last weekend, but I said no. Techno isn't really my cup of tea.)
