What's "occupied" in German? for instance, someone's in the bathroom, and someone else is knocking the door, what would the person in the bathroom say? besetzt? oder anderes?

Yes ,in this sense 'besetzt','belegt' oder 'okkupiert'. but 'occupied' could also mean busy and that is 'beschäftigt' in German.
