Pinky promise/swear What's the meaning of "Pinky promise" and "Pinky swear"? And how can I use them in sentences, please? Thanks a lot! :)

Then it's a promise you cannot break. It's a promise from heart. Promise is for something that you will do and I guess the Pinky swear is for something that you did or something happened and you want someone else to believe you, so you pinky swear it was like that. I live in Chicago and its not really used in things like news, politics,and etc.Its really just something little kids say when they promise something.Rayofsunshine-san's answer and example is a very good one.

It's just a childish way to ask someone to promise something. Like "Do you promise that you wont lie?" "Yes." "Pinky swear?"
