Is learning English difficult for Chinese people? Now that I have barely reached the lower intermediate lever of Chinese language knowledge, there's a question that I'd like to discuss with all my Chinese friends. In your opinion, is learning Chinese for a foreigner as difficult as learning English for a Chinese is? Do you think that when you guys learnt Englis, had to use the same effort that we have to use when we learn Chinese?

I think they are equally difficult or easy, people in China are just 5000% times more exposed to the English language. So we are more or less used to it so to speak, that makes it easier for us to begin, also the Chinese go to great length to learn English that makes a difference as well.

When you come from a rather easy structured language (Mandarin) you will get easily overwhelmed by a language that has changing verbs, complex times, lots of grammar rules, and lots of exception to the same rules. English is certainly not easy for Chinese people. JaneXy > making it fun will help a lot!
