If I "try" something, I don't know if it will work, but I still do it.
"Look for" and "search for" both mean that you want to find something, and don't know where it is.
Example:
"Can you look for my keys? I'm trying to find them."

'Try' significa 'tentare' o 'provare'.
'Search for' e 'look for' significano 'cercare di trovare qualcosa'.
