The correct one is "comprei". "Comprou" is used for "você", "ele" or "ela". Eu comprei Você comprou Ele comprou Ela comprou Nós compramos Vocês compraram Eles compraram Elas compraram Good job!

Hello Emily, The right conjugation for "eu" is "Eu comprei..." "Comprou" is the conjugation for "ele", "ela" or "você" in Portuguese's equivalent to the simple past. The correct conjugation for the second phase would be "Eu comprei um perfume por cinquenta reais." and the first phrase is right ("Eu comprei tanta coisa". Is interesting to search information about subject pronouns concepts in Portuguese (with their first person, second person, third person and their singular and plural forms). These concepts are primordial to help you to understand the conjugation rules of verbs.

http://www.conjuga-me.net/verbo-comprar You can find the conjugation of all verbs in all tenses on this website. We don't use VÓS in Brazil. And, in most states, we use VOCÊ instead of TU. But the conjugation for VOCÊ is the same as in the third person. http://www.portuguesepod101.com/ I think that this website is a good choise for you study Portuguese. I use a website from the same company to study French, and it's really good and fun.
