every 2 days every second day every other day every other time The first three are all the same in meaning although be conscious of context as it could shift the meaning. (For example if someone said they went to the gym every other day verses every other day of the week. In the first case it would mean every other day no matter what, in the second they may mean every other day starting Monday and going through Friday or that they start over again every Monday.) The last one, "every other time" is specific to whatever time the person is referring to. For instance, "I pass out every other time I go to the doctor." This means that if they go to the doctor once and don't pass out, they will the next time. However it could be a week, month, year, etc., before they go again.

They're all the same except "every other time" which could refer to anything and not just days.
