Use the tutorial along with the software to do day and day practise. It will take time to practice - 30 days or so. i think Wubi is more difficult than Pinyin. What's more, learning Pinyin can be beneficial to command pronunciation of Chinese characters. And also Wubi is more suitable for typist,because Wubi typing speed is fast than using Pinyin. but for common user, pinyin is more popular nowadays.
