Hi Luiz "We need to make sure that the meeting doesn't overlap with the scheduled call." "Fortunately, the arrangements didn't overlap, otherwise I would have been late!" Hope these help Trudi

In terms of the verb forms, it has several meanings, but with time, it means one thing starts before another thing ends. An arrangement starting at 13:00 and ending at 14:00, would OVERLAP with an arrangement beginning at 13:30 and ending at 14:30. There would be an overlap [n] of 30 minutes. https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/definition/english/overlap_1?q=overlap Hope this helps 😊

I hope my love of food overlaps with my desire to exercise. There was an overlap between the appointment time and his scheduled run.
