"His father is too hard/harsh on him" which one is correct? hard or harsh? If both are correct, What's the difference? Thank.you

Both are good, the only difference is, harsh only means one thing. It means tough and strict, whereas hard has many meanings depending on context. In your particular example I would choose to use the word harsh.

Both are ok. As for the difference, to me it's like, She's pretty/She's beautiful. What's the difference really?
