bear-bore-born Are "bear" and "bore" ever used to mean give birth? It's only used in passive form as in "I was born."?

you can say "to bear children" or "to bear offsprings", but it's extremely formal in usage.

Have is the more common verb to use in this context. Example: Women have children (or women give birth to children). Example: She had three children over six years.
