What are the difference between 'die jacke' and 'das jackett'? What are the difference between 'die jacke' and 'das jackett'? Is there any gender limitation using the above words? for example, die jacke is only for male and das jackett is only for female or all gender can use both words? thank you so much.

"Jacke" is the general English "jacket", used by both sexes. A "Jackett" (or "Sakko") is a jacket that's part of a suit, typically for men – "suit jacket" in English.

Both can be used for man and woman. Jacke is a warm coat or jacket. Jacket is sport coat, suit coat, blazer or any light jacket.
