What is the opposite of temporary job? Is it "regular job" or "constant job"? Which one is better and more common? Thank you!

A permanent job; to be a permanent employee rather than a casual employee or a contract worker. Full time versus a part-time employee infers the number of hours worked regularly, and not whether it is permanent or casual employment. There are some permanent part-time employment opportunities, but most permanent opportunities are on a full-time basis.

The issue comes with what you mean by temporary job. We have part-time employment, which is about 30 hours or less per week. We have full-time employment, which is generally 32 or more hours per week We have seasonal / temporary employment which can be either full-time or part-time, but it only last for a certain duration of time. So, if you were hired as a temporary employee, you might work over the Christmas holiday season. It would last for two or three months, but you might work full-time for those months. Students working in Fast Food typically are hired for part-time employment so they can work and go to school. Steady, or permanent employment would signify you were working at a job which does not have any set duration for the employment. You can be a permanent full-time employee or a permanent part-time employee.
