한국어교원자격증은 한국어를 외국어로서 배우는 사람들에게 한국어를 가르치는 교사들을 위한 정식 자격증입니다. 이 자격증은 일반적인 한국어 뿐 아니라 한국어 전반적인 분야에서 활용이 가능한 자격증으로 어린이, 성인, 자격증 등 모든 분야에서 가르칠 수 있는 능력이 있음을 증명하는 것입니다. 한국어교원자격증 관련하여 다른 공식적인 자격증은 없습니다.
